Each night Padre Pio presided over a ceremony of evening prayers, including recitation of the rosary, and conclusion with this "irresistible novena" to the Sacred Heart. This one of a kind rosary honors the stigmatist with faceted 8mm red tiger-iron rondelles. The vermeil-capped lampwork beads, swirling with Franciscan browns, were hand-made by Trey Cornette (and narrowly escaped the ravages of hurricane Charlie!). The rosary is joined with a bronze figural Padre Pio centerpiece, and bronze medal with the Sacred Heart of Jesus on one side, and Monstrance (Blessed Sacrament) on the obverse. |
